Eastern quolls are carnivorous, as small as a house cat, and can scurry down rabbit warrens to hunt, but sadly they became extinct in Victoria in the 1950s.
There is good news though. These spotty cuties still roam free in Tasmania.
And there is hope closer to home, a breeding program in captivity has been running at the Royal Mail Hotel for fifteen years, and they have again been successful with a litter of six black spotty eastern quoll joeys.
