SUPREME COURT DISMISSES COMPO CLAIM OVER “TRESPASSING” JETS ✈️🐑 A Bulahdelah sheep farmer who tried to sue the Department of Defence for more than $15 million for flying jets over her property has lost her case. Julie Steepe bought her 40 hectare property to the north east of the Williamtown Air Force base in 2013. She claimed that in June last year, the RAAF increased flights over her land from about 5 a week, to about 500 a week. She began legal action, claiming the flights amounted to trespassing, and were interfering with her quiet enjoyment of her property as well as her sheep farming business. The Supreme Court has dismissed the claim saying the RAAF has a lawful entitlement to fly over the property and ordered Ms Steepe…
